A Note on Your Continued Care
Dear Patients and Friends,
Thank you for the extraordinary kindness, compassion, and support you have shared with us following Chrissie's passing. Your messages have meant more than we can express and are a beautiful reflection of the many lives she touched and the relationships she built.
We know that many of you have questions about what comes next. While we are still navigating this unexpected and heartbreaking loss ourselves, we want to reassure you that the team Chrissie brought together remains committed to supporting our patient community through this transition.
Chrissie was an extraordinary practitioner, teacher, and mentor. Her curiosity, compassion, and deeply individualized approach to healthcare shaped not only the care she provided but also the way those of us who worked alongside her approach our own work. While no one can replace Chrissie, the knowledge she shared, the relationships she fostered, and the collaborative spirit she encouraged remain with us.
The Team Moving Forward
At NGI, Lisa and Michelle bring many years of experience in functional nutrition, nutritional genomics, laboratory evaluation, and individualized nutritional strategies. Both worked closely with Chrissie, contributing their own expertise while developing a deep familiarity with her approach and the complex needs of many of our patients.
At GenMedX, Dr. Velez remains our physician and continues to support patients' medical needs, including helping coordinate appropriate follow-up and continuity of care during this transition.
Robyn remains at the heart of both practices, coordinating patient communications, scheduling, and administrative matters. Her longstanding relationships with our patients and her invaluable knowledge of the practices continue to provide stability and support during this difficult time.
Our Commitment to You
We recognize that many of you have complex health histories and have spent years searching for answers. We also understand that, for many, Chrissie was much more than a practitioner. She was a trusted advocate, a source of hope, and someone who understood your health journey in a way that few others had.
We cannot replicate that relationship, but we hope to preserve as much of the knowledge, familiarity, and continuity you have built with our team as possible.
Our immediate priority is to review upcoming appointments, outstanding laboratory results, ongoing recommendations, and individual patient needs. We will communicate directly with patients as changes or next steps are determined.
If you have questions about your care, an upcoming appointment, a pending laboratory result, or a prescription requiring attention, please reach out through your usual office communication channels so we can help determine the appropriate next steps. For urgent medical concerns, please seek timely care from an appropriate medical provider rather than waiting for a response from our office.
We are still working through the longer-term arrangements for NGI and GenMedX, and we will share updates as those decisions become clearer. In the meantime, our focus remains on supporting you with compassion, transparency, and thoughtful attention to your individual needs.
Chrissie's legacy extends far beyond the practices she built. It lives in the lives she changed, the knowledge she shared, and the relationships she nurtured.
We hope to honor that legacy by continuing to approach our work with the same curiosity, dedication, and genuine care that meant so much to her.
Thank you for your continued patience, kindness, and trust. You remain an important part of our patient family, and we are grateful to be navigating this difficult time together.
With warmth and gratitude,
Robyn, Michelle, Lisa, and Dr. Velez
